DIODE Laser Hair Removal (Fitzpatrick Skin-Type from I-VI)

The Diode Laser is the gold standard in Permanent Hair Removal and is suitable on all pigmented hair and skin types—including tanned skin. Diode lasers use a 808nm wavelength of light that has a high abruption rate in melanin. As the melanin heats up it destroys the root and blood flow to the follicle disabling the hair growth permanently. Sapphire touch cooling systems can make sure that treatment is safer and painless. It would be fair to say that you will require at least 6 treatments, one month apart to obtain best results. Treatments are most effective on medium to dark
hair on any skin type. Fine and light hair is very difficult to treat. For white, blond, red, or gray hair will absorb less energy, producing less follicular damage. Thus, they will need more treatments in order to permanently reduce unwanted hair.

FAQ

Q: What is Diode Laser and how does it work?

A: Diode Laser is the latest breakthrough technology in laser hair removal systems. It uses a light beam with a narrow focus to target specific areas in the skin.  This laser technology selectively heats target sites while leaving surrounding tissue undamaged. Treats unwanted hair by damaging the melanin in the hair follicles causing disruption in hair growth.

Q: Does Diode laser hair removal painful?

A: Diode laser hair removal is painless. Premium cooling system ensures highly effective cooling, which is used to protect treated areas. It is fast, painless and on top of all safe, unlike Alexandrite or other monochromatic lasers. Its laser beam acts selectively on the hair’s regenerating cells, something that makes it safe for the skin. Diode lasers cannot harm the skin, do not have side effects and can be operated on every part of the human body.

Q: Does Diode Laser work on all skin types?

A: Diode Laser uses 808nm wavelength and can safely and successfully treat all skin types, including dark pigmented skin.

Q: How often should I do Diode Laser?

A: At the beginning of the treatment course, treatments should be repeated 4-6 weeks Towards the end.  Most people need somewhere from 6 to 8 sessions for optimal results.

Q: Can I shave in between Diode Laser?

A: Yes, you can shave in between each session of laser hair removal. During your course of treatment you can shave any hairs that may regrow. After your first laser hair removal session you will notice that you won’t need to shave as much as before.

Q: Can I pluck hair after Diode Laser?

A: You should not pull out loose hairs after laser hair removal. Laser hair removal targets the hair follicle to permanently remove hair from the body. For successful results the follicle has to be present so the laser can target it. Waxing, plucking or threading removes the root of the hair follicle.

Q: How long after Diode Laser hair removal can I shower/hot tub or sauna?

A: You can shower after 24 hours, but if you must shower wait at least 6-8 hours after your session. Use tepid water and avoid using any harsh products, scrubs, exfoliating mitts, loofahs or sponges on your treatment area. Do not go in a hot tub or sauna until at least 48 hours after treatment.

Q: How will I know If Diode Laser is working?

A:  1.Your hair becomes slower to regrow. 2. It’s lighter in texture.  3. You find it easier to shave.  4. Your skin is less irritated. 5. Ingrown hairs have started to disappear.

Q: What happens If I wait too long between laser hair removal treatments?

A: If you wait too long between treatments, your hair follicles won’t be damaged enough to stop growing hair.  You may need to start it over.

Q: Is 6 sessions of laser hair removal enough?

A: Most people need somewhere from 6 to 8 sessions for optimal results, and it’s encouraged that you come back for maintenance treatments once a year or so. When scheduling your hair removal treatments, you’ll need to space them out by several weeks, so the full treatment cycle can take a couple of months.

Q: Does Hair Grow Back After Diode Laser Hair Removal?

A: After a few laser hair removal sessions, you can enjoy hair-free skin for years. During treatment, hair follicles are damaged and they are unable to grow any more hair. However, it is possible that some follicles survive treatment and will be capable of growing new hair in the future.

If you find an area of your body is experiencing noticeable hair growth a couple of years after your treatments, you can safely receive a follow-up session. Several factors, such as hormone levels and prescription medications, can lead to hair growth. There’s no way to predict the future and say with complete confidence that your follicles will never grow hair again. However, there is also a chance you will enjoy permanent results.
